My mom was a brilliant woman who never got to fulfill her dream of college. She took care of anyone but herself. I hope she knows that I carried on her dream and mine.

It took me seventeen years, on and off, to achieve my academic goals. I did this while raising my children, caregiving, and working.

I feel triumphant being able to be in a position to help others who face the same struggles I have and to uplift the next generation.
