Dr. Deborah Phillps

Deborah Phillips, Ph.D., embarked on her professional journey in the nonprofit sector, assuming several roles, including that of an Executive Director. Additionally, she dedicated over 14 years to the health insurance industry, serving as a Marketing Representative and a Community Relations Specialist. Throughout this tenure, Dr. Phillips conceptualized diverse educational curricula focused on the well-being and welfare of individuals of all ages. Her instructional endeavors extended across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, impacting a wide range of audiences. Notably, she assumed leadership positions within Pennsylvania State-level committees and boards, focusing on health and safety initiatives.

 In 2009, Dr. Phillips joined Pittsburgh Regional (PRT) as a Community Outreach Coordinator, later being promoted to Manager in the Community Outreach Department, a position she currently holds. Dr. Phillips actively engages with various community boards and advisory committees. She also cultivates relationships with community leaders, organizes public meetings, coordinates community events, and forges partnerships with various community organizations. 

 In 2021, Dr. Phillips achieved a significant milestone by earning her doctorate in Community Engagement from Point Park University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her academic accomplishments include a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication from Seton Hill University, Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Deborah Phillips remains deeply rooted in her community of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church, where she serves as a trustee. She embraces roles as a wife, a mother to a daughter, and a grandmother to three cherished grandchildren.

My mother’s influence has been the bedrock of my success, shaping my character and determination. Her unwavering support and guidance have been pivotal in every milestone. From instilling values of resilience to fostering a strong spiritual faith and work ethic, she laid the foundation for my achievements. Her sacrifices and relentless encouragement propelled me through challenges, imparting a profound sense of perseverance.

Beyond mere words, her actions taught me the importance of empathy and kindness in navigating both personal and professional spheres. Through her example, I imbibed the significance of continuous learning, adaptability, and humility. Her boundless love and belief in my potential fueled my ambitions, providing the confidence needed to overcome obstacles. Her immeasurable contributions remain the guiding force behind my accomplishments, creating a legacy of resilience, compassion, and achievement.
