After a 25-year teaching career in the Pittsburgh Public Schools system, Dr. Williams transitioned to counseling as a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist. Over the past eight years, her counseling and coaching organizations, Christian Marriage Matters and Life A-Nu, have served hundreds of couples and women through retreats, special events, challenges, and personalized counseling services. Together with her husband, Sheldon, she co-leads Kingdom Couples, a network committed to providing help, hope, and healing to couples by openly sharing their story and expertise.

Dr. Williams is a proud graduate of Carlow College and Liberty University. Dr. Williams is also the author of Marriage Challenges: Leaving a Legacy of Love, a book designed to guide couples through fifty-two marital-enhancing activities to improve their relationships over the course of a year. Her research, She is Not Damaged Goods … is a study examining the experiences of married African American women who have survived childhood sexual abuse and their journey toward life after trauma. Recently, she has expanded her reach through TikTok and YouTube, where she shares stress-relieving techniques and dissertation-writing tips.
