Bridgette Perdue is the Executive Director of Alumni Theater Company (ATC), where she brings her expertise in advocacy, community engagement, and collaboration to advance ATC’s mission—centering Black voices and amplifying their impact on the city and region.
A 2006 graduate of Point Park University, Bridgette holds a dual degree in Musical Theater Arts and Business Management in the Arts. For over 15 years, she has served as a musician, teaching artist, and consultant, fostering the artistic gifts of children across Pittsburgh. As a project manager for multiple arts initiatives, she has designed curricula, trained talent, allocated funding, and mobilized her network to support meaningful artistic experiences.
Known for her charismatic leadership and collaborative spirit, Bridgette has cultivated lasting relationships with arts and nonprofit organizations, including the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Staycee Pearl dance project, Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company, Bricolage, Pittsburgh Public Schools, Propel Charter Schools, Gwen’s Girls, and the Afro-American Music Institute. Her deep knowledge of both the arts and education sectors uniquely positions her to lead ATC toward its vision—becoming the premier institution for exceptional creative Black youth and earning national recognition for outstanding work.
Bridgette is passionate about whole-child excellence, balancing artistic achievement with academic growth and character development. A strong advocate for antiracist and anti-bias education, she previously served as a Music Teacher at Environmental Charter Middle School, where she was a leader on the Antiracism Committee and a facilitator for professional development on equitable teaching practices.
She currently resides in Pittsburgh’s West End and enjoys salsa dancing, crafting, and reading with her three-year-old daughter, Amaya.
