This year, our theme is “And Still We Rise!” We asked our honorees to reflect on how they have risen above challenges—both professionally and personally. Their responses honor the obstacles they faced, the strength they discovered, and the determination that carried them forward.
I wish I could be more eloquent, but I just put my head down and keep going. I feel blessed both personally and professionally, and as a result, I should not complain. While I have experienced tremendous heartbreak in my life, I look around and am fully cognizant that my life is still good. I am still blessed. I have a wonderful job that I truly enjoy, I have a magnificent family with two healthy parents, an amazing son, a niece, two nephews, and two great nieces. As the gospel song says, “I’ve faced obstacles, climbed hills, endured weary days, and sleepless nights. Yet, when I reflect, all my good days surpass my bad days. I won’t complain”.

Lisa Haley is the Market Executive for Commercial Banking at JPMorganChase. She leads a team responsible for delivering a full range of domestic and international banking and financing options for middle-market companies in Western Pennsylvania. She began her career in New York as the Northeast Regional Executive for Treasury Services. In that role, she covered more than 10 states and led a team of 30 individuals who delivered payment and treasury solutions to the firm’s middle-market clients.
With over 25 years of banking experience, Lisa joined the firm in 2018 after managing risk for PNC’s Treasury Services Group. She also served as the Sales Market Manager for Greater Chicago, overseeing treasury business development and portfolio management for PNC’s Middle Market, Commercial, and Public Finance clients in the Corporate Bank.
Lisa was named one of the Top 15 Businesswomen in Illinois in 2017. She was also a 2016 Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago and received Chicago United’s 2013 Business Leaders of Color recognition.
Active in the community, Lisa serves on the Boards of Directors for UPMC, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, and the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) Foundation.
A Pittsburgh native, Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brown University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She currently resides in the Pittsburgh area with her 18-year-old son, Jacob.
