Many people work long and hard to get access to the right opportunity. The right opportunity can lead you in the right direction, and get you closer to your goals. So why then do people pass up opportunities in hopes that, like a bus, another will come along? I wouldn’t bet on it.
When someone offers you a chance to do what you love, and you find some excuse not take it on; then you are simply sabotaging yourself and possibly your creditability. Over the past couple of months, I have experienced several people who passed on my offers. They responded to my request by telling me why they could not accommodate me; in spite of the fact that they aggressively promote the services that I was seeking.
These are people who I am certain won’t hesitate to contact me in a quest to get my business in the future. Why is it that you are not doing what you really want to do? How many more excuses? How many more distractions?
My action plan question this week is: What do you really need to do to be prepared to handle your business?
I’ve been in a bit of a funk. I in some ways know what I want to do, but lack the motivation. I’m looking for opportunities to ignite the spark that I need again.
Aurelia Carter, you make such a good point. You have to stay focused and ask what has made you lose your spark. Do not get distracted and do not take on more than you can handle.
I am prepared and ready to action. Fear has kept me standing still but I am prepared to move on.
