A way to elevate our ageless style is to top it with a hat. Thrifted hats can make an ensemble pop. Why pay more when you don't have to. But even though the hat didn't fit, for the price I can still give it life. Here are some tips to make it fit:

Purchase soft self-adhesive foam hat-sizing strips about 1/8-inch thick. That's enough to tighten the hat without making the band bulky. Before sticking it: tuck one strip behind the red band at the back and try the hat on. Move it around until the fit feels right; then remove the adhesive backing and attach it.
