For other women to understand the struggle, the trials, tribulations, and the successes mean the world to me, especially women of color. This is not an easy journey, but I am grateful to have other women along with me.
Obstacles are an opportunity to develop new strategies to achieve your goals.
I am supported by a team of capable women, all from different professional and cultural backgrounds. As a minority-owned and soon to be woman-owned firm, it is important to me to promote the same diversity in my workplace and empower women into leadership roles. I have also had several...
The support of women has been invaluable in my life. From helping to keep me sane through the transparent sharing of our lived experiences to being nudged toward purpose, women have always been the bedrock. I grew up in a family of very strong women who “pulled no punches,” and I am indebted to them for teaching me to esteem, pursue, and proclaim my truth.
My success can be attributed to the prayers, the encouragement, the inspiration, the guidance, and the time that other women have graciously given me. I have taken that and with every opportunity give the same to other young women.
I believe obstacles are designed for your growth and to strengthen your faith. Obstacles are not for you, it's your testimony to share with someone to give them hope and to demonstrate that they have to persevere and trust God.
Eliminate the word obstacles and instead use the word mountains. Keep your "WHY" in front of you. Pray for understanding and guidance. You may need to be still and evaluate the situation. You may need a consultant for additional knowledge in the field so you can put corrective actions in place. Understand that mountains are for your personal development and essential for your success in your life journey.
You must decide that you are going to overcome this obstacle; every day is a fresh start. You must be determined that you will not be beaten, even when it looks like you are losing. In times of difficulties, believe that the sum total of your current status does not determine who or what you are going to be.
