LaKeisha Wolf, Artist & Entrepreneur

How many years have you been in your industry?

16 years as a natural care product “mixologist” and healing arts practitioner.
10 years in non-profit management.

What has been your greatest inspiration? Mother Earth. My connection to nature and all that is; and the knowledge that all of us are made up of the same elements as the soil beneath our feet and the stars in the sky. We each are a unique, individualized perfect example of the divine universe and that connection is amazing.

What advice would you give to anyone about following their dreams?
I always advise folks to be open to uncovering and walking in their purpose. This is so no matter where you may find yourself on the journey towards your dreams, you have a set of gifts, skills and talents that are being honed,  perfected and sharpened along the way. It’s all about the journey. Purpose will keep you focused.

What is the biggest career or business mistake that you have ever made?

My biggest mistake has been working well past my mental, physical and spiritual capacity to the point of serious illness; not trusting that things would work out if I prioritized time and energy in other areas of my life. It was a challenging lesson that forced me off “the court” and at home on my butt, not able to build and contribute to anything for several weeks. Lesson learned! Self-care is a priority!

What was the best thing that you have ever done that got you to where you are today?

Staying true to my purpose, pushing past my fears, and granting myself GRACE.

When did you first become aware of your purpose?
The awareness of my purpose happened when I was 18 years old. I was blessed to have awesome mentors who helped me to contextualize my experiences so that I could truly see how my life was shaping out to be and why.
