Summer Suedes

IMG_0204One of my favorite types of shoes just happens to be suede. I like the fact that they can be worn in every season—even though many fashionistas back away from their favorite suedes until fall.

You don’t have to, you don’t need to, and you shouldn’t want to. Suede, in addition to being stylish, is a texture that is comfortable and easy to wear. The added value is that they breathe well in warm weather, so despite what you might think, your feet probably won’t sweat.

My only caution is that you don’t wear suede shoes with lightweight fabrics, like linens or crisp cotton. Stick with your silks, rayons, and even seasonal worsted wool that can be worn year-round.
