The support of women has been invaluable in my life. From helping to keep me sane through the transparent sharing of our lived experiences to being nudged toward purpose, women have always been the bedrock. I grew up in a family of very strong women who “pulled no punches,” and I am indebted to them for teaching me to esteem, pursue, and proclaim my truth.
I get excited about helping others; specifically women and girls. I wanted to go down other paths, but serving others is my passion.
You are needed. Diversity in law enforcement is necessary. Women are skilled communicators, which is a valued skill set in law enforcement. Women are less likely to use excessive force and are better at defusing violent encounters, thus lowering the percentage of deadly force encounters.
